About the event

Join us for an info session with Pigmenta Permanent Cosmetics and learn more about their services for permanent makeup, scar camouflage, and areola repigmentation techniques to minimize the appearance of scars or restore an areola to a more natural looking color and shape. Pigmenta can also “create” an areola after breast reconstruction. These procedures help improve the appearance and self-esteem of both women and men who have undergone breast surgery.

This very specialized area of permanent makeup requires advanced education, training, and experience in permanent cosmetics as well as an artistic eye for color and skin tones. Over the years Pigmenta has built strong working relationships with local Dermatologists, Plastic surgeons, Oncologists, Esthetic Nurses as well as major hospitals in Massachusetts such as Mass General, Brigham and Women’s, Tufts, Children’s and Shriners who refer their patients to see them for a list of treatments.

About the presenting technician:

Tiffany graduated with a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art with the goal of directly serving her community with her artistic skills. She started her journey in permanent makeup in 2017 and trained directly under Julia Dziuk, the owner of Pigmenta Permanent Cosmetics, as a student. Upon completing the apprenticeship program, Tiffany joined as a procedural assistant and soon after she also joined the academy as a supporting instructor for the Foundational Classes and supplementary 1-on-1 Apprenticeship Program. She continues to stay immersed and updated on the industry through her membership in the Society of Permanent Cosmetics Professionals and CPCP certification. Tiffany is also a licensed Aesthetician and trained in Oncology-focused skin care by the nationally accredited Oncology Spa Solutions. She is also a member of the National Coalition of Estheticians Association and an Assistant Instructor at Cosmix School of Beauty Sciences.

Here are some key topics that Tiffany will go over in the presentation:

-What is permanent makeup and para-medical tattooing?

-How do we provide both with the equipment that we use and what are the benefits?

-Who is a good candidate for either permanent makeup or para-medical tattooing?

-What are the contraindications for these services?

-What is the healing process and down time that clients can expect?

-How long do these procedures last before needing to be refreshed?

-What are the costs for each service?

-Can any of the services be covered by insurance?
